| An orchestration of a piano piece from Debussy's second book of Preludes. In this transcription for chamber orchestra, I have sought to maintain a rustic feeling and enhance the tonal colour of the piece by frequent weaving of the melody between the instruments of the orchestra. |

| This prelude was influenced by a poem of the same title from Leconte de Lisle's "Poèmes antiques". Debussy uses a pentatonic scale to conjour up a Scottish atmosphere.
