A setting of the Easter Sequence as used in the liturgy on Easter Sunday. The disciples quiz Mary after she returns to them on Easter morning with stories about having met the risen Christ.

The plainsong-like voice parts move largely only by step. Care should be taken with the phrasing, so that the wonderful words, imbued with contrasts and contradictions, don't sag. Where the voices divide, the upper part can be taken by a single voice or a small group.
